Every question below is answered three times under the same public corpus label: once by TOMX, which keeps its knowledge on disk and reads it per query, once by a matched-size dense transformer that keeps it in weights, and once by a reader-free retrieval baseline. Same resident parameter budget for TOMX and TX; corpus and tokenizer hashes are not independently exposed here. Watch which evidence fields each arm returns.

Free text experimental

This is a cloze system. It is not a chat model. Mark the span you want filled with ____. Your text is tokenized the way the corpus was and run through the same forward pass, so TOMX reports a real margin and declines when it is below the threshold. The deployed TX and RAG arms run without that TOMX abstention gate, so their answers on unsupported free text are not evidence of correctness.

Regime

How sure TOMX must be before it answers at all. This is not a sampling temperature. The other two deployed arms have no equivalent TOMX gate exposed here.
